In the attic space of a residential building, an unremarkable place—once a cluster of storage rooms, residual and seemingly without value—is transformed into an INusual dwelling. The proposal embraces the character of the garret, enhancing the sloping geometry of the roof and opening a balcony toward the city views, extending the home outward. Inside, a contrast of materials fragments the perception of the space; using recycled elements from the building itself, the interior is wrapped in an envelope made from doors that once belonged to the old elevator. This small, unexpected gesture introduces a sense of spatial decontextualization, creating the impression that the home connects to multiple elevators leading to possible destinations.
